Holistic Wellbeing Workshops
as part of the 8-Week Mindfulness & Self-Compassion Course
There will be 2 holistic wellbeing workshops that will take place during these sessions over the 8-weeks

An open mind and curiosity will allow us to dive into the world of Hygge, The Chakra system, Moon energy, Crystal healing, sound baths, essential oils, mindful movement, art, photography and many other hobbies, activities and interests that might enrich our lives in ways we may not have thought in the past.

Half Day Retreat
as part of the In Person 8-Week Mindfulness & Self-Compassion Course
On the 8-week course I will run a half day retreat in Windsor Great Park
This will be a great chance to head into nature and Windsor Great Parks beautiful trees, ponds and woodland. We will practice different elements of mindfulness that we have learnt over the previous 7 weeks including mindful walking & meditation.
After a silent, gentle ramble I will connect you to the surrounding environment using all your senses. You will learn to embrace the full benefits of breath and meditation under the trees and within the woodland. Will we hug a tree? YES! But with Upgrade Your Day I pride myself on approaching everything
with fun, good humour and joy.
This retreat is to complement the 8-week course
but not essential to attend.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do we do each session?
I will teach you the key principles of mindfulness and having an open and holistic approach to every day wellbeing. Everything is taught for a beginners mind. You do not need to share anything personal but I encourage group discussion if you chose to join in. Discussions are based around your experiences in learning mindfulness, meditation and holistic wellbeing. Any workshops and activities within the course are taught in a fun and informative way.
Will I get homework?
Martin will encourage you to take short meditations throughout the week including 3 Minute Upgrades® You will be asked to keep a gratitude journal and a few various tasks to try. You will be asked to read the Upgrade Your Day book 'The Companion'. A short book and resource material list will be given at the start of the week. This is optional study if you choose. Home meditation practice, journaling and light study is part of this 8-week course.
What if I miss a session?
If you miss a week and have time in the following days you are encouraged to take a call from Martin to briefly discuss the weekly session that was missed and to talk through any homework pending.
Is this course for everyone?
Mindfulness may not be suitable for persons with severe past trauma and breathing difficulties. Mindfulness does not replace medical care or one to one therapy. Please contact the instructor or your GP if you have any concerns.
Is there an age RESTRICTION to the course?
The course is open to anyone aged 18 years or over.
How big are the classes?
The Classes are limited to make sure everyone feels included and has a voice and input if they wish. I do require a minimum of 6 people for the course to take place.
What if I decided the course is not for me after starting?
You can pay in full or pay a deposit on reserving your place on this course. Deposits are non-refundable. If full payment is not received on reserving, it will be required one month before the start of the course. If you have paid the full amount on reserving your place but decided not to continue, £50 will be kept as a deposit and non-refundable. In the unlikely event that Upgrade Your Day has to cancel this course due to unforeseen circumstances you will receive a full refund and a copy of The Companion as a kind gesture.
