Upgrade Your Day (UYD) is an holistic wellbeing provider dedicated to instilling a culture of mindfulness behind the scenes to encourage and nurture a healthy work/life balance, and cultivate a space where your staffs wellbeing and mindfulness is centred.

UYD comes from a "made for real people and real life" perspective of mindfulness, meditation and wellbeing, making it accessible for all, including those who "just don't get it."

By teaching our ‘3 Minute Upgrade’ technique to all, we introduce the ability to add short, beneficial elements to everyday life without it feeling overwhelming, unachievable or taking someone out of their comfort zone.

A mindfulness based wellbeing approach can:

UYD founder Martin can meet your specific needs as an organisation, creating sociable, enjoyable, and most importantly, inclusive events.

All our teaching and workshops are science and evidence-based using elements from MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) created in the 1970s and still recommended by doctors and consultants to this day.
During his time with you Martin will present fun and engaging workshops for staff, giving them the tools to upgrade their wellbeing in their everyday lives. At home and at work

A Sunrise Ramble to start the day!

People have told me how they enjoy witnessing a sunrise but feel
unsafe in the dark, early mornings, alone. 

This is why I decided to run Sunrise Rambles.  We may not always be lucky with the perfect sunrise but it's also a great chance to exercise early and start the day.  You may have a busy day planned at work so how about sending everyone on an early morning ramble to focus the mind and get energised for the day ahead. This can include breakfast at one
of my chosen locations. 

About martin

  • Martin is well-known in Berkshire as pantomime comic at the Theatre Royal Windsor for the past 15 years. Also as Mr Martin in the Basil Brush show; and is the founder of his charity the Kevin Cruise Foundation which gifts pantomime tickets to sick & disadvantaged children and young carers within Berkshire. He lives in Glastonbury with his husband and 2 dogs.

  • Martin is a trained and Certified mindfulness teacher with the esteemed MindfulnessUK (Foundation Degree Level 4 Certificate) Accredited Qualification with the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB)
  • Certified Happiness Facilitator accredited by the Complementary Medical Association
  • Qualified Nature Guide Practitioner accredited by the IMMA (International Mindfulness & Meditation Alliance)
  • Mental Health First Aider Level 2 (MHFA England)

Our team have been working from home since the beginning of March 2020 and after a very long 16 months apart, we started looking into ways that we could get back together as a group outside of a working environment.

Booking an Upgrade Your Day walk was a fantastic and safe way for us to see each other face to face again and meet new members of the team for the first time, all whilst getting some valuable time away from our screens in the fresh air.

Martin was brilliant to work with from the beginning - from choosing an accessible and quiet route for the day, providing a bespoke booklet around mindfulness and wellbeing in the workplace for our employees to take away, and a personalised keyring for when we reached the end of the ramble.

He even captured a team picture for us half way through!

We've had really positive feedback internally from our team, and have returned to our desks with a clearer head, social batteries recharged and a 5.5 mile
​ramble under our belt!

After months of virtual catch ups we finally got to arrange a real life face to face event with a group of tech journalists from around the country.

​People were still concerned about gathering after isolating for so long but when we explained that the event would include a private brewery tour and a guided
​ramble we had a 100% turn out.

We booked Martin for a guided ramble from Runnymede through to Windsor and he was professional, charming, well informed and the ramble was great.

Can’t wait to book the next one with him!

Here's how it can work for you.

Each of your staff members will also receive the Upgrade Your Day Companion book, an A5, 120 page guide full of mindful activities and information and a 3 month gratitude journal. This makes it very easy to keep up with their mindful journey once Martin has gone.

Everyone will also get exclusive access to online activities and downloads, like guided meditations and further workbook pages. Martin will also make himself available after the workshops for 1 to 1 chats with anyone who wants a more dedicated conversation. Even short zoom catch ups etc available by appointment.

Your Upgrade Your Day experience can be totally catered around what works best for your business. Whether that's a 20 minute workshop, a full day course, or a 2-day retreat. We can facilitate any mindfulness and meditation classes or tasters that might suit you and your staff, whether that's a woodland meditation, sound baths, mindful painting or photography sessions and many more!

We are dedicated to providing a reliable resource for your business and, if you wish, will return every 3 months for the course of a year, to encourage accountability and to be there for further guidance, questions and help on the continued wellbeing of your staff. This is also a great chance to introduce other wellbeing elements.

As well as Martin, we have a collection of teachers, gurus and facilitators that teach a broad range of elements such as crystal healing, singing bowls, sound baths, yoga, mindful movement, mindful painting, breath work, guided nature walks, woodland meditation, colourists, reiki and much more. Most of these people are local and feature on Martin's podcast talking about what they do within wellbeing.

Shall we have something to eat?

I have a few venues based locally that offer after-ramble refreshments. Whether that’s to grab a quick coffee, slap up breakfast, finger-buffet lunch or full evening dining.  My venues of choice can cater for any number of guests at any time of the day (Costs will be per person. Please contact to discuss your requirements)

Meeting space available.

​If you wish to hold a meeting after the ramble, that’s not a problem!  My preferred venues have room for 2 to 200 people with any tech set up you may need also available (Please contact to discuss separate costs and your requirements)
