This is a list full of songs that my followers and friends on socials have suggested, as they put a smile on their face and give their day a lift! An upgrade! Listening to uplifting music releases dopamine in our brains which can help towards mental wellbeing. Have a listen and add your own favourite mood boosting song to the list. A little about me..
For the last 14 years I usually glide across the pantomime stage at the Theatre Royal Windsor as my alter-ego Kevin Cruise & as Basil Brush's side-kick, Mr Martin in the Basil Brush Show.
I've been in the entertainment business for over 25 years & have performed in groups, shows and solo at hundreds of holiday parks, cruise ships, theatres, festivals, pubs and cabaret venues over the years.
I started practicing mindfulness in 2019 when I felt I needed help with my own mindset, anxiety, nerves & OCD. It changed my life! Because of this I trained and became a certified mindfulness teacher, happiness facilitator & nature guide through Mindfulness UK, The Happiness Museum and Nature Connection.
I created 'Upgrade Your Day' to be a safe, positive and encouraging space for others to learn elements of mindfulness and meditation.
I have created the '3 Minute Upgrade® Model' which introduces longer meditations and mindfulness into a single breathe. As a performer who understands the busyness of a working day and the importance of a day off, a single, mindful breathe can be extremely beneficial to the performer.
I’m living proof that by adding small moments, little by little anyone can become more mindful, happy, compassionate, grateful, productive & improve overall wellbeing.
